Our editorial approach

How we review the reference

Clear sources, honest attribution and a distinction between general information and an examination of an individual gemstone.

AI-assisted source review

Some entries are prepared and checked with AI assistance under the website owner’s editorial authorization. These entries are labelled on the page with the review date. This is not a claim that a named gemologist has reviewed the article, and no professional credentials are attributed to the AI system.

We check material descriptions against the cited references, distinguish mineral groups and varieties, review care wording, and identify uncertainty. Source links let you read the underlying reference. A source check cannot eliminate every error or replace professional examination.

Photographs and illustrations

Reference photographs carry their source, creator and licence. The specimen description follows the source and does not independently authenticate natural origin, treatment or locality. These examples are not statements of KhyatiGems stock or availability. Stylized SVGs are navigation illustrations, not specimen evidence.

Expert attribution and corrections

When an actual named reviewer is recorded, the page displays their supplied role and review date. An entry with AI-assisted review alone does not imply expert sign-off. We do not infer credentials, endorsements or laboratory partnerships.

For an individual stone, obtain appropriate identification and treatment information. If you find an error in this reference, send a correction with the page URL and supporting source. Corrections go through the website enquiry system for follow-up.

Cultural references

Birthstone associations vary across traditions. They are presented as cultural context and do not promise medical, financial or astrological outcomes.
