How we photograph gemstones.

Photography is an important part of understanding a gemstone, but it should be read alongside dimensions, treatment disclosure, and any available certificate.

Multiple views and close detail

Where available, view a stone from more than one angle and at close range. Natural inclusions, proportions, transparency, and cutting character can be easier to understand this way.

Colour and scale

Screen settings, lighting, and camera rendering can affect perceived colour. We encourage customers to review dimensions and request clarification on scale rather than relying on a single image alone.

Exact stone or representative image

We only use “You will receive exactly this stone” where the operational listing specifically guarantees it. Otherwise imagery is representative and the individual stone may vary.

Certificate photography

When a certificate image is provided, it should be considered with the relevant listing information. Never rely on an image alone to infer information not stated for that gemstone.
